Civil Engineering Department of BUET Achieves a Milestone: First Program in Bangladesh to Secure 5-Year Accreditation from BAETE

The Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (B.Sc. in CE) degree program at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has once again achieved accreditation from the prestigious Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technology Education (BAETE). This marks the program's second consecutive accreditation, highlighting its unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Department of Civil Engineering at BUET initially received the accreditation certificate for a period of four years, spanning from December 4, 2019, to December 4, 2024. Notably, this accreditation marked a historic milestone as BUET's first department to achieve such recognition. Furthermore, this accreditation is not just a renewal; it signifies a continuation of the department's dedication to maintaining the highest standards in engineering education.

The latest accreditation is particularly noteworthy as this time the B.Sc. in Civil Engineering program at BUET has achieved a remarkable five-year accreditation from BAETE. This is the first time a program in Bangladesh has achieved a five-year accreditation from BAETE.
